how much should you tip around the world

Each country has its own difference. When you are traveling, know who and how much to tip with the help of this handy guide: Australia While in Australia and New Zealand, tipping is not required. China In China, tips are rare, including HK and Macau, where service charges are added to total. Europe In many parts of Europe, service charges are pre-added to the bill; but where it is not added, consider tipping around 5 to 7 percent of the total.  India In India and neighboring Maldives, Nepal & Sri Lanka, the waiters usually expect 5 to 7 percent of the bill. However, you may not tip in restaurants that have added service charges to the total bill. Taxi drivers should not be tipped, but bell boys expect a little something. Japan Tipping is not made in Japan. Middle East In cities such as Cairo and Dubai, the service charge is already added to the bill. However, around 5 percent additional tip is expected in restaurants. Bell boys and porters should be tipped...

flirting is good for health

If you've been on the receiving end of an accomplished flirt, you'll be aware of how flattering it can be. Dictionaries invariably describe flirting as making "playfully romantic or playfully sexual overtures". That's all well and good but how do you know if you're a good flirter? Fear not. Here is a list of some tips for flirting like a professional in no time! Get an Attitude . A good flirt is self-confident and not afraid to take risks. Be enthusiastic, open and positive. It works! Start a Conversation . The best opening line is simply saying, 'hello'. Talk about the surroundings, ask a question, ask for help, make a joke, and state an opinion. Make sure you are calm and composed but just do it before the person you’ve got your eye on walks out of the bar or past you in the street, never to be seen again! Have Fun . Be playful, light-hearted and spontaneous. Show your vulnerability. Use Props . Never leave home without a prop because the...

sleep well for better health

Found this in one of my old hard drives. This article was probably taken from MSN Health website; I do not have the source. Why Do We Need Sleep? Unless a person gets enough sleep, his performance is likely to be sadly lacking. Not just sexual performance either. Work performance, creativity, reaction time, and mood all become worse when we're tired. Although it's not entirely clear why we need sleep, the effects of sleep deprivation justify trying to get enough. How Much Sleep Do We Need? The amount of sleep needed depends upon the individual and their age. Some people manage on four or five hours of sleep a night. On average seven, eight, or nine hours of sleep a night is what the majority of young and middle aged men need to stay bright-eyed and bushy-tailed during the day. As we get older we tend to need less sleep. For peak performance during the day about four or five 90-minute sleep cycles are needed to rest and re-charge the brain. Each cycle combines deep slee...

exercise for good health

Found this in one of my old hard drives. This article was probably taken from MSN Health website; I do not have the source. More people than ever before are spending their working lives sitting down, and their leisure time doing the same for that matter. With this in mind it's now become very important to take some exercise on regular basis if illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis are to be avoided. Exercise makes our body stronger, fitter, and more flexible. It protects our heart and bones, keeps our weight at an ideal level, helps to reduce stress, and makes us feel good too. It doesn't matter where you do it, just do it. Activity, on a regular basis is what's important. Experts recommend that every person gets active for at least 20-30 minutes on at least 5 days of the week. You'll know if you're doing enough because you'll feel yourself breathing a little bit harder and faster, and your pulse will be faster than usual. It doesn...

tips for taking care of your skin

Found this in one of my old hard drives. This article was probably taken from MSN Health website; I do not have the source. Skin is the largest organ of the body. It protects us, helps to regulate temperature, and is involved in making vitamin D. Some parts of our skin are also major erogenous zones. The skin contains sweat glands, oil-secreting glands, hairs, blood vessels, and nerves. Not only does it stretch to our demand but it's also waterproof and very resilient too. It's easy to take the skin for granted and not take care of it. But the skin needs regular care and attention - particularly the areas that are exposed to the elements, such as the face. Taking Care of Your Skin Wash daily with a mild soap and water. Use your hands rather than a facecloth so that you don't risk damaging the skin by rubbing too hard. Moisturise regularly throughout the day. This prevents the skin becoming dry, cracked, and itchy. Drink at least 1.5 - 2.5 liters of water a day (...

adapt to a body shape that you can

Found this in one of my old hard drives. This article was probably taken from MSN Health website; I do not have the source. There are many different body types around, and regrettably many are 'round'. But underneath all the padding and designer wear we can put each body into one of three categories. The 3 main body types: Ectomorphs - Thin and wispy. Mesomorphs - Athletic and muscular. Endomorphs - Generously rounded or 'stout'. Your basic body type is greatly outside of your control - more to do with DNA, and your childhood lifestyle than anything else. So if you are over 18 and reading this, you are what you are, although you can fine tune what you already have.
If you are looking to change the shape of your body the basic groundwork is the same. Eat fresh, low fat and healthy food at regular intervals . Avoid large amounts of toxins like alcohol and caffeine . Take regular exercise which should include elements of stamina (puffing), strength (g...

solitude by ella wheeler wilcox

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone. For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth, But has trouble enough of its own. Sing, and the hills will answer; Sigh, it is lost on the air. The echoes bound to a joyful sound, But shrink from voicing care. Rejoice, and men will seek you; Grieve, and they turn and go. They want full measure of all your pleasure, But they do not need your woe. Be glad, and your friends are many; Be sad, and you lose them all. There are none to decline your nectared wine, But alone you must drink life's gall. Feast, and your halls are crowded; Fast, and the world goes by. Succeed and give, and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. There is room in the halls of pleasure For a long and lordly train, But one by one we must all file on Through the narrow aisles of pain.

how secure is my password? let's check

There are two kinds of passwords: those that you don’t care about and those that really, really need to be secure. But how can you tell whether the password that protects your life savings is strong enough to repel a serious hacker? HowSecureIsMyPassword.net is one tool that can help you figure it out. Enter something lame, like Fred15, and you’ll find that a desktop PC would hack it in 3 minutes. On the other hand, NiTtFaGm2CtTa0tP would take roughly 151 trillion years to crack (of course, it takes about half that long to enter). Test various combinations, and you should soon arrive at a good balance between security and convenience in a password. Check .
